Piston Pumps Available

We have a number of pumps available which have been restored or rebuilt. Some are currently available and ready to go to work for you - please refer to our gallery for more detail.

If you have a special requirement, then we may be able to source just the grand old matron that will do the job for you!! Just let us know what it is that you need and how you want to use it and we'll see what we can do for you.

PUMP 1 - This Forrers 6" x 10" piston pump is as large as it sounds - it exceeds one tonne in weight and 2 m in length!! Everything about this pump is big - it will pump up to 5700 gallons per hour through its 4" inlets and outlets - stay tuned as the makeover and refit progresses!!
Continued from above - Forrers 6" x 10" - it may have looked like an ugly duckling when we picked it up, but yes, its transformation has begun (well, the sandblasting and undercoating anyway). Its looks are already very different - see above for an interim photo!
Forrers 5" x 8" - how's this for class - it was the largest pump we'd had - up to 3600 gallons per hour!! We now have the 6" x 10" as per the previous listing! This fully reconditioned 5" x 8" is big in terms of all the numbers - size, weight and capacity!!! Unfortunately, this unit is no longer available - but we'd love another if you could help us out!!

PUMP A1 - Any number of years ago, someone out there purchased what they thought was the very last of the new Australian-made Ajax 6" x 6" pumps from Bell Pumps. Well, guess what ... though it may disappoint that person, you can now become excited because there really is another "last" "new" pump now available ... and the opportunity for you to have it won't last long - it was part of the Ajax remnant stock which we recently acquired.
PUMP 2 - As some auctioneers say "Look on, look on" - what is so different about this Ajax 2.5" x 3" pump apart from some photos not showing a final coat of paint - well would you believe that it is NEW, as in never having been used - yes, you have read correctly - UNUSED!!
PUMP 3 - Another 2.5" x 3", but this time a well-respected Forrers. This pump is in great condition - check out the bull gear photo - whenever the bull gear looks like this, you know the rest of the pump is in geat condition!
PUMP 4 - Another of our works in progress - this Southern Cross 5" x 5" pump is in great order but not quite yet ready for work - stay tuned ... we could fast-track it if you needed it tomorrow!!
SOLD - Was another work in progress but now completed and delivered - a great little Southern Cross 2.5" x 3" piston pump
SOLD - Was needed urgently - a Forrers 3" x 4" pump - we managed to get it finished and it's now doing the job as intended
PUMP 5 - Yet another work in progress with basically the same story as the others - and another Forrers, but this time it is a 4" x 6" pump - it will be fully reconditioned for you when time/priorities permit!
PUMP 6 - A fairly rare find - a Forrers 2.25" x 4" high-head pump. This pump is in great condition. We sold it quite some years back and, because the property has now been sold, it has become available again. The high-head pumps exceed the head restrictions of the standard pumps, and come into their own in hilly conditions.
PUMP 7 - Another Forrers - a 3" x 4" mid-sized pump that is ready to go now that it has had a visit to the workshop
SOLD - Ajax AH3 3" x 5" pump - again, fully reconditioned and ready to go
SOLD - Forrers 2.5" x 5" - this unit was the last one of a small collection that we had put together of "high headers".
Ajax 2.5" x 3" pump - MOTOR since SOLD - the pump has now gone as well - do you know someone who has another unit like this one, because we keep getting enquiries for them - please let us know!!
Ajax 4" x 5" pump - no longer in working condition - this pump had an unfortunate accident, so is now available as either the wet end which has been overhauled or the power end, where the bull gear is in great condition - talk to us if you need parts for a similar Ajax!
PUMP 8 - Forrers 3" x 4" - this unit has a worn shaft - will still last for many, many years, but is priced accordingly

SOLD - Ajax - 1.5" bore x 1.75" stroke, but ... we do have others of the same size which have been overhauled and may suit your job
