This A3, a 3" x 4" pump, has 1.5" suction and discharge. At 50 strokes per minute or 250 rpm at the pulley, this pump will produce just under 600 gallons per hour. Its maximum head is 250 feet. To pump to that height, you will a need 1 hp (electric) motor.

During its re-assembly following its sandblasting, this pump has had the following new parts fitted: crosshead pin and bush, one main bearing, main shaft through the bull gear, piston rod, two piston plates and a 14" 2V A-section aluminium pulley. As always, it also has a new wet-end maintenance kit consisting of two new buckets, four valve rubbers, four valve springs, packing and gaskets.
